Out with the Old, In with the New: Human Life in Space

BY: RAHEEM COOPER-THOMAS

Several College and Universities in Illinois have partnered with NASA to conduct a groundbreaking experiment. They are taking a set of twins, Scott and Mark Kelly, and testing the effects of space traveling overtime. Yes—NASA will launch one twin into space for one year. He will orbit around the earth, then he will land back on earth for further discovery. Scientists want to know the changes of psychology, behavior, DNA, and any other phenomenon.

This is a critical step into the future. Will life on earth soon become life in space? Since the 1970's, the US has been interested in exploring space in revolutionary ways. Moreover, the global connection to the World Wide Web has created a cloud of data that is used to enhance human capabilities. There is a possibility that the Internet is pre-discovery to virtual communication in any space.

The Internet of Things could be training to internalize computer behaviors and virtual interactions. Therefore, once space developments are fully developed, it would be easy to deploy and sustain human life in space. Space exploration does seem like the next logical step for humans as resources on earth are starting to become overused.

In the next ten years, will cars have the ability to orbit around the earth? Could space exploration exponentially increase human existence? If Colleges and Universities are already partnering with the government to learn about the effects of space on the human body, then moving into space is a big possibility. The current human body could evolve to survive and populate space. This is an exciting topic because it will revolutionize how we look at our existence. There will be endless discoveries to explore.

Future human exploration to the future. What we might look like

  1. This video was insightful and thought provoking, as I still have had unanswered questions about the existence of extra-terrestrial beings. Social Darwinism is something that I never believed in but natural selection is something that definitely has its truths within it (mentioned because sometimes one is solidified by the other). Adaptation is essential for humans to live. Without it many would die off due to the inefficiencies of their bodies and their environments. I believe that the research given to NASA from the people that would be in space for 1 year will give them ample data for the effects of human orbit in space. We, essentially, can accommodate more individuals, and form a world that can do interstellar travel and close that gap between the unknown. Furthermore, we can discover potential life forms in other realms in the universe, ultimately forming a more unified world.
